Puteri's Land

  Hello! I am called Puteri Alya Amanina Binti Ismail. People will usually call me Puteri. I am a trainee teacher studying at a institute of teacher education in Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. My intention of creating this blog is to describe the meaningful experience I gained from the SBE in a week.  In this little sanctuary named Puteri's Land, there are three writings displayed which are a poem, a journal and a little short story.  I hope viewers will enjoy my writing in this cute and minimalist blog. Wish It Would Never End Once I sat engaged and teaching, All my soul within me overreaching, With such a passion for beseeching, Teaching, teaching! Nor did I asked for it to end,  Gushed with dismal last event, No more children as friends,  End, end!

The moment that I could not wait for finally appeared at my doorstep. My entire being was engulfed with mixed feelings and wrapped with a lot of overthinking. What could have happened? It was the appearance of my third time of School-Based Assessment. As an inexperienced trainee teacher, the real-life situation of going to school was nerve-wracking. I could not predict whether it would be an unforgettable life event or even a nightmare. In the process of preparing all the necessary documents, I had positive and negative thoughts swirling around in my mind. I was excited but scared at the same time.  The day has come, I have finally arrived at the school I chose to attend. First, I had to meet the authority to announce my arrival to the headmaster. All the prepared letters are given and observed by him. Then, I was assigned to a learning partner called Ms Mardhiyah. Her reaction was that she was surprised by the sudden task but happy to get to know a new and young trainee teacher. I...

Monday, 4 April  7:00 a.m - 12:50 p.m  I have arrived at the school for my School-Based Assessment session. The school in which I will be doing my SBE is called SK Taman Bukit Tiram in Ulu Tiram, Johor. The moment when I reached the school, I went to the office to report on duty for the week. The first person I met was the headmaster of the school. He asked for the letters and details of the SBE. Then, I went to meet the teacher as a learning partner, Ms Mardhiyah. After a discussion session with Ms Mardhiyah regarding the assignments, she invited me to join her class. The first class that I went to was called 4 Amarilis. Ms Mardhiyah is an English teacher, so she was teaching the English topics to the pupils. I was able to see the real situation of the process of teaching and learning in classrooms.  Near the afternoon, My learning partner and I went to the year 6 classroom named 6 Azalea.
